Welcome to JVN TeleHealth Programs, a telemedicine effort of the Joslin Vision Network at Joslin Diabetes Center in Boston. Our programs and services increase access to quality health care – and this is the important piece – wherever the provider and the patient happen to be located.

We currently have two active programs:

• Joslin Vision Network Eye Care system – low-light, non-dilated photography to determine the presence and/or extent of diabetic retinal disease and other conditions of the eye
• Comprehensive Diabetes Management Program (CDMP) – web-based and designed for the non-specialist care manager, CDMP offers care providers a complete clinical and psycho-social “snapshot” of a patient
  

We live in a technologically advantaged time. Using the web as a “base” of operations and/or sending critical images and information over secure data lines to bring together providers – now, providers and patients – was unthinkable only a few years ago.
